DREAM Welcomes its First Philadelphia Director
DREAM Philly took another giant step forward hiring Jen Horan as its first Philadelphia Director. Jen spent the past 13 years working in the national service sector, with the AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC). Most recently as a Unit Leader for NCCC, Jen was responsible for coordinating teams of young adults as they engaged in volunteer service projects across the United States. Jen was also very active in mobilizing large scale volunteer deployments following major natural disasters by coordinating with local and national agencies to support immediate and long-term community recovery efforts. Jen is a lifelong resident of the Philadelphia region and graduated from Immaculata University in 1997 with a BA in English and Secondary Education. Jen never met a cup of coffee she didn’t like and in her spare time enjoys reading, road trips, cheering for her beloved Philadelphia Philles and watching cooking shows despite having zero culinary talent in the kitchen. With all of the roles Jen has played in her professional career, she considers being a mentor the most impactful and rewarding. Taking on the Philadelphia Region Director position for DREAM’s Philly operations is her dream come true.
