AmeriCorps Program Empowerment Director

Dakotah is the Program Empowerment Director for Johnson State College/Johnson serving in the Vermont DREAM office with Americorps. Dakotah graduated from Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. She is currently a licensed Vermont educator pursuing a graduate certificate in Professional Leadership through Champlain College. Dakotah has experience working with youth of all ages, including managing a local summer recreation program. While visiting Malayaka House, a children's home in Entebbe, Uganda, Dakotah was inspired to explore her passion for youth and education in a different light, which lead her straight to DREAM. In her free time, Dakotah enjoys skiing, yoga, taking care of her plants, traveling and eating snacks!
