Deb Kosnar

AmeriCorps Program Empowerment Director

Deb is the Program Empowerment Director for Champlain College/Birchwood and the Saint Michael’s College/Franklin Square DREAM Programs.

Originally from Queens, New York, Deb made her move to Vermont to major in Psychology and minor in Global Studies at Champlain College. Deb was a DREAM mentor for three years and served as co-chair during her senior year.  Deb was also an office intern her senior year, and a Summer Community Teen Coordinator after graduation.

To help bridge the distance between Vermont and Boston DREAM local programs, Deb dedicated her senior Psychology Capstone to creating a pen-pal project between mentees and mentors in different regions. Deb strongly believes in the age-old proverb, “it takes a village to raise a child,” and is honored to be part of the DREAM village. She is excited to stay involved with DREAM as an AmeriCorps member.

Outside of DREAM, you can find Deb spending time with friends, jamming out to her favorite tunes, and enjoying the atmosphere of one of the many local coffee shops.
