Joshua Hancock

Program Empowerment Director

Joshua joined DREAM in August of 2016. He is from Wisconsin, the land of cows and cheese. He graduated in 2014 from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a degree in English and a certificate in LGBT Studies. Joshua is a wearer of many hats; he has worked as a teacher, a tutor, a freelance editor, a call center manager, a grant writer, a literary assitant and many more! However, after doing his first term in Americorps in 2014, he fell in love with educating and working with youth and has based his work around that ever since. He is an advocate for social justice, equality and issues facing marginalized youth, especially issues facing LGBQ/T youth and youth of color.

In Joshua's free time you can find him at rallies, volunteering at many organizations, stargazing, reading and playing games with friends. He loves grammar, slam poetry, fighting the patriarchy and exploring new places.
