Kaitlyn Lapan began as a DREAM Mentee in the Elm Street/University of Vermont program in 2002 at the age of 10. During her time as a mentee, she went on three High Adventure trips, attended camp as both a mentee and a counselor-in-training, and enjoyed DREAM Fridays with 3 wonderful mentors. After graduating high school, she worked as a full time camp staff at Camp DREAM.
Kaitlyn attended UVM where she continued her commitment to DREAM by becoming a mentor in the Riverside Avenue program. Kaitlyn was a mentor for all four and a half years at the University, and served as a co-chair for her program for two semesters. Kaitlyn graduated in December of 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies.
Kaitlyn only lives a few blocks away from the Riverside community, so she gets to continue to enjoy the company of the children and families she was fortunate to have worked with. She considers DREAM to be one of the most influential forces in her life over the past 13 years and is excited to start a new chapter as a board member. Kaitlyn joined the DREAM board in October 2015.
