The DREAM Program offers internships to college students hoping to gain experience in the non-profit sector while focusing on direct service and program management. Internships are available each summer in all of our locations.
Students who apply and are accepted are placed in neighborhoods based on their experience. The program includes a thorough introduction to the DREAM Program, its philosophies as a youth service organization and the structure for summer activities. Our internship is an empowering, entrepreneurial experience, that allows students to design and implement their own program and activities within a broad boundary.
The program is typically a ten-week commitment, beginning in early June and ending mid-August. The experience focuses on direct service with youth, budgeting, fundraising, program development, logistical planning and practicing DREAM’s methods of empowering youth.
